There are several positions that utilize the skills and principles of accounting.  For the most part, they are all concerned keeping accurate records of the financial transactions of companies, individual clients, and governments or other entities. 

A person considering a career in accounting must be able to learn and use a number of specialized computer programs.  He or she must also be very good with math and analyzing and interpreting data in a logical way.  An accounting degree covers general core requirements like English, communication, math, and science; it focuses, however, in accounting and financial topics.  These include financial accounting, corporate finances, risk management, auditing, budgeting, accounting services, and tax law.
