Criminal Justice Studies Schools in New York

For students interested in the legal system, crime prevention, or in work as a private detective or investigator, a degree in criminal justice will help them enter this field.  While careers in various branches of law enforcement may be the first that come to mind, many other positions use the information taught in criminal justice courses.  These include jobs in the court and legal systems, corrections officers, crime scene investigators, paralegals, and private investigators.  The coursework for criminal justice covers subjects like crime lab techniques, evidence collection, theory, the cause and prevention of juvenile delinquency, probation and parole, and crime control and prevention.
