Medical Administration Degrees in New York

The medical and healthcare fields are growing rapidly.  An associate’s degree in medical administration will qualify the student to assist at a healthcare facility by gathering information, completing paperwork, ordering supplies, and performing related tasks.  This degree covers medical terminology, pathology, and an introduction to healthcare management.

Students who are interested in supervising and managing a healthcare facility should pursue a bachelor’s degree in medical administration or an MBA in health care administration.  In addition to the basics explored in the associate’s degree coursework, students will examine leadership issues, economics, managed care, facility management and administration, and the legal aspect of healthcare.
